Ce premier roman marque la naissance d'un écrivain virtuose. P. E. Cayral nous emporte dès les premières pages par sa prose capable de la plus grande retenue comme des plus beaux flamboiements.
P. E. Cayral vit à Paris mais il parcourt inlassablement l'Europe pour vendre des chapeaux. Au départ nous étions quatre est son premier roman. -

Spirou n'est plus journaliste ! Après avoir refusé de modifier un article un peu trop critique sur un barrage hydroélectrique en pleine jungle palombienne financé par un gros annonceur du journal, Spirou claque la porte du Moustique. Désoeuvré, il décide de prendre le temps de vivre et de rattraper le temps perdu, notamment en se mettant à la peinture et au jardinage. Mais d'étranges événements vont l'empêcher de réaliser ses envies.
Il y a d'abord la nature qui semble devenue folle et des champignons "qui n'existent pas" qui provoquent une véritable marée noire végétale, au grand désarroi de Pacôme.
Il y a ensuite ces mystérieuses toiles révolutionnaires d'un auteur anonyme qui arrivent à la galerie Bernard et pour lesquelles le cheik Ibn-Mah-Zout est prêt à payer des fortunes.
Et Fantasio qui est chargé par son journal de trouver l'artiste génial, créateur de ce nouveau courant pictural appelé "le zooïsme.
Il y a enfin Noé, ce dompteur extraordinaire qu'on avait découvert dans "Bravo, les Brothers" qui est de retour en ville avec toute sa ménagerie et une gamine... qui n'est autre que sa propre fille, une adolescente ballottée depuis toujours et qui débarque de son Canada natal. Et que Noé va confier à Spirou !
Ce Spirou signé Frank et Zidrou est une fable humaniste et écologique menée par deux auteurs au sommet de leur art ! -

Le « monde enseignant » est un objet de fantasme social et politique de longue date. L'illusion d'une certaine unité de ce groupe social perdure, en décalage avec les études qui soulignent les segmentations, voire les fractures qui le divisent. Les « profs » peuvent tour à tour être perçus comme des agents du service public en première ligne pour défendre les valeurs républicaines ou des représentants d'une profession libérale rétive au changement, comme des fonctionnaires injustement reconnus ou au contraire trop corporatistes. Au sein même du monde enseignant, la caractérisation de la « professionnalité » est loin d'être consensuelle. Quelles sont les places respectives des savoirs disciplinaires et des savoirs pour enseigner ? Malgré la production de nombreux référentiels de compétences, ce qui fait aujourd'hui un « bon enseignant » n'est pas évident. Peut-on pour autant parler d'une déprofessionnalisation enseignante au regard de l'évolution de la mission d'éducation que confie la société aux enseignants ? This book explores the value of the musical concept of "agogics" - the modification of regular rhythm to enhance expressive potential - in understanding urban spatial configurations within the current technological context and in developing urban maps that exploit sonic signals to create an open learning framework. The book starts by discussing the meaning and significance of agogics in the musical and artistic realm, with reference to the work of Adolphe Appia, Emile-Jaques Dalcroze, and Iannis Xenakis, among others. The conservation of crop genetic resources is one of the important elements in efforts to sustainably increase agricultural production in low-income countries, and to guarantee long-term food security, especially for the low-income population groups in these countries. Horticultural crops, as high-value crops, have an important role to play in revitalizing rural economies and can add significantly to national economies. Moreover, horticulture provides more than twice the number of jobs compared to traditional cereal crop production, and the shifting of conventional agriculture towards high-value horticulture has increased employment opportunities in developing countries. To exploit this potential, researchers need a vast array of horticultural genetic resources and information on new traits. Horticultural crops, which are only a part of PGRFA (Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture), are characterized by a wide and varied range of species. In fact, there are five major horticultural crop groups: fruit and nut crops, vegetables, food legumes, roots and tubers, and lastly the ornamental and medicinal group. In this context, the present book provides a comprehensive overview of the current state of conservation and utilization of horticultural genetic resources, addressing contemporary approaches to conservation in connection with different technologies, including biotechnological approaches as practised in India and in some cases, globally. It includes a brief chapter on the unique nature of horticultural genetic resources, providing a rationale for viewing them as being distinct from field crop genetic resources. Medicinal plants are globally valuable sources of herbal products. Plant-based remedies have been used for centuries and have had no alternative in the western medicine repertoire, while others and their bioactive derivatives are in high demand and have been the central focus of biomedical research. As Medicinal plants move from fringe to mainstream with a greater number of individuals seeking treatments free of side effects, considerable attention has been paid to utilize plant-based products for the prevention and cure of human diseases. An unintended consequence of this increased demand, however, is that the existence of many medicinal plants is now threatened, due to their small population size, narrow distribution area, habitat specificity, and destructive mode of harvesting. In addition, climate change, habitat loss and genetic drift have further endangered these unique species. Although extensive research has been carried out on medicinal and aromatic plants, there is relatively little information available on their global distribution patterns, conservation and the associated laws prevailing.This book reviews the current status of threatened medicinal plants in light of increased surge in the demand for herbal medicine.
